Waziri Lipumba & Family

Waziri Lipumba has been part of the Winrica Adventures journey since before Dealers of Hope Tanzania was formally established. He is one of the steady, behind-the-scenes leaders whose commitment, work ethic, and character helped lay the foundation for what Winrica Adventures is today.

In 2022, Waziri was part of the team that supported our founder, Erika Bogan-Mtui, in reaching the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in her wheelchair—an experience that reflects the trust, teamwork, and resilience that define his role within our community.

Waziri is a husband and devoted father of four. Three of his children are currently in school, and the youngest is still at home. Like many families connected to the mountain industry, his household has faced challenges during low tourism seasons, when income becomes unpredictable.

How Dealers of Hope Has Supported

Through the support of the Hope Dealers community, Waziri was able to:

• Purchase a motorcycle

• Start a small taxi business

This additional source of income has been transformative, providing more consistent financial stability for his family throughout the year.

Where They Are Now

Waziri’s family is in a strong season of progress. With a more reliable income, he is now better able to support his children’s education and plan for the future.

What’s Next

Waziri’s current goal is to complete his family’s home. A new roof has already been installed, and the next steps include:

• Plumbing

• Windows

• Flooring

Completing the home will provide a safe and durable living space for his family.
